Hira has 15+ years of business experience in the corporate world covering the consumer, industrial, education and technology sectors. He is currently a Director within Scotiabank’s Investment Banking Division in Toronto and previously worked with Deutsche Bank as a Vice President in a similar capacity in New York. Through his time at Scotiabank and Deutsche Bank, Hira advised on over $14 billion of transactions involving mergers, acquisitions and financings.
Prior to his career in finance, Hira held progressively senior roles in brand and product management working for Procter & Gamble and Nestle. Hira also has extensive entrepreneurial leadership experience having previously worked for a venture capital-backed startup in London, UK, and separately founding his own entrepreneurial venture in the education software area.
Beyond work, Hira is passionate about film with a particular interest in documentaries that advocate positive social change. Hira graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
